A majority of New Jersey residents said they would like to be able to buy alcohol in supermarkets, a report in the Press of Atlantic City said. Currently, only two stores within a chain can sell liquor, limiting access across the state, according to the report. But a Monmouth University poll suggests 76 percent of people who buy alcohol would like supermarkets to sell it, and 56 percent of all residents support the idea, the report said.
