Most N.J. Residents Want Ability To Buy Beer, Wine With Groceries

Currently, only two stores within a chain can sell liquor, limiting access across the state, according to the report. But a Monmouth University poll suggests 76 percent of people who buy alcohol would like supermarkets to sell it, and 56 percent of all residents support the idea, the report said. But some small businesses told the newspaper it would ruin their business. Star Ledger

How would it ruin their business? Stores in CA and NY look like they’re doing very well.

I would imagine they are referring to liquor stores, since people would buy their alcohol with general food shopping.

yeah exxon will be selling to minors all night long…not a good idea for this town
