More Lakewood Shuls Acquiring Defibrillators; Trained by Hatzolah

defib trainingPHOTO: Recently, several Lakewood Shuls have received training by a Lakewood Hatzolah member in the use of defibrillators.

The life-saving device is used to deliver a shock to heart of patients suffering a sudden Cardiac Arrest.

Currently, the device, which can cost approximately $1,500, is carried by many Hatzolah members, but not commonly found within Shuls.

The device has also been recently installed inside the Lakewood municipal building.

This week, long-time Lakewood Hatzolah member Yisroel Meir Shapiro gave training to Misapllelim of several Shuls for the proper use of the device.

  1. The course was very informative and extremely well delivered. When it was over, we understood what the heart does, what can go wrong and why and how we can help. Thank you to all those involved in arranging this. Tizku Limitzvos.
