Monoc Paramedic Michael Cackowski Jr. Helps Expedite Meis Mitzvah to Kevuras Yisroel

mkjVIDEO: Reb Meir Zalman Silverberg Z”L, a Meis Mitzvah from Aberdeen, NJ, was brought to Kevuras Yisroel (Jewish burial) in an expedited fashion, thanks to Monoc Paramedic Michael Cackowski Jr.

On Friday afternoon, Michael was dispatched to the home of R’ Meir (Mathew) Silverberg Z”L in Aberdeen, where Reb Meir Z”L was pronounced dead. With no family to contact, the body of Reb Meir Z”L, was going to be transported to the morgue.

Realizing that the Niftar was a Jew, Michael asked if he could contact some of his Jewish friends and co-workers in Lakewood, as they may be able to take care of the body.

A few hours later, just as Shabbos was arriving, the body was brought into Lakewood. However, with no time for the Kevurah before Shabbos, the Levaya was planned for Motzei Shabbos. About 50 people attended the Levaya.

At the Levaya, it was said about Reb Meir Z”L that he knew Kol Hatorah Kulah, and that he used to correct the Baal Koreh in Shul, without looking into a Chumash (See video).

May his Neshama have an Aliya.
