Sunday: Monmouth Medical Center’s NICU Honors Lakewood Baby

Submitted by Avrohom Wagner. This coming Sunday, Sept. 17, the NICU of Monmouth Medical Center will be holding their annual event, Big Steps for Little Feet, at Beach Front North in Long Branch, beginning at 11:00 AM. For the first time, one of the honorees at this event will be a baby from our Lakewood community – our daughter, Zahava Wagner.

Zahava was born at 23 weeks, weighing barely 1 pound. The many challenges she faced – cardiac, neurological, digestive, pulmonary, to name a few – gave us a glimpse into the myriad miracles every baby experiences while developing in utero. Throughout the difficult first few months, the devoted staff at Monmouth’s NICU went above and beyond the call of duty in both caring for Zahava’s needs and giving us the support we needed to endure.

With tremendous chessed from Hashem, Zahava continues to develop and thrive. We are honored to have this opportunity to show our appreciation and support for the truly special doctors and nurses that were such a vital part of Zahava’s life.

Our community benefits tremendously from the NICU at Monmouth Medical Center. Let’s show our support by attending their walk. There will be fun activities for the kids, kosher snacks, and, most importantly, a chance for hakaras hatov and kiddush haShem.

Please join us this Sunday at Beach Front North in Long Branch at 11:00. We hope to see you there!

Avrohom and Frayda Wagner
