Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office: $5,000 Offered for Information on Swatters

swatMonmouth County, NJ, along with many other jurisdictions around the country, has been victim to numerous “SWATTING” incidents, and is taking action in hopes of putting a stop to it by weeding out the perpetrators.

SWATTING is the report of false public threats that prompts a large scale law enforcement response to a school, hospital, mall, residence.

Lakewood saw its own swatting incident last month at the Oak Street School.

Anyone who has any information on “SWATTERS” is urged to call Monmouth County Crime Stoppers at 1800-671-4400.

swatting 2Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and prosecution of any suspect(s) in these False Public Alarm Incidents.
