Monmouth County, NJ, along with many other jurisdictions around the country, has been victim to numerous “SWATTING” incidents, and is taking action in hopes of putting a stop to it by weeding out the perpetrators.
SWATTING is the report of false public threats that prompts a large scale law enforcement response to a school, hospital, mall, residence.
Lakewood saw its own swatting incident last month at the Oak Street School.
Anyone who has any information on “SWATTERS” is urged to call Monmouth County Crime Stoppers at 1800-671-4400.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and prosecution of any suspect(s) in these False Public Alarm Incidents.

$5000 won’t get someone to flip. I mean it’s kind of pathetic.
