Monday: Municipal offices closed; No trash pickup

On Monday, February 13, the Township offices will be closed in observance of Lincoln’s Birthday.

There will be no garbage pickup: Monday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Wednesday. There will be no bulk collection this week.

There will be USPS mail.

Please note. Today is not a legal holiday. Not on a state or federal level. So why is the township closed today?

In government (and in Lakewood Schools) there is no accountability. Therefore they take off whenever they want…..

If they worked by the hour they would all be working like the rest of us.

Tom River Municipal offices are open today.

To add insult to injury, they are off again next Monday in observance of Presidents Day.

Lakewood is not a rapidly growing town like other neighboring towns so they’re anyways probably not so busy in the municipal offices.
