of course! Tax payers are paying the salary.
What about the banks?
what about motor vehicle dept??
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE PUBLIC IS NOT UPSET WITH OUR TOWN FATHERS WHO ALLOW THIS DAY OFF.THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONBINED BOTH PRESIDENTS’ BIRTHDAYS INTO ONE HOLIDAY NEXT MONDAY SO WHY DOES LAKEWOOD HAVE TO BE THIS RICH TOWN TO CELEBRATE BOTH DAYS?
It is a rich town where public work is like a vacation your whole life!
#4 because its not thier money so they dont care its that simple !
tax payers money means nothing to some people
#3, the dmv wil be closed.
If the state workers have off, why shouldn’t the county and local workers enjoy the same? Complain to your congressmen and women, not to TLS..
To Genius- spend a day in our shoes where (moderated) and then tell me how its a like a vacation.. Genius you are not- bitter sounds more like it
Why is it moderated when the truth is spoken on how the public treats us? Maybe if they were made aware, we wouldn’t be treated like second class citizens instead of the people who are there to help
Public worker – thanx for ur service. Keep in mind, v/ few ppl enjoy their work. It duznt mean we get extra vacation. If u don’t enjoy being a DPW employee, u can leave. D.
The DMV agencies will be open tomorrow. The inspections stations will be closed.
oh the dpw work so hard. . . Three days a avarage week. Then they ask for a raise and a pension. Makes me sick.
I do not know about you? But I personally do not know any Dpw workers who are getting rich picking up your…and my trash, cutting the grass at playgrounds and township properties, cleaning off snow from streets, trimming trees, fixing potholes etc.
They work at their jobs for a fair wage an a promise for doing their jobs for thirty years (while contributing money from their salary as well as taxpayers) they will receive a pension. They do this work in ALL kinds of weather and for a public who often times mocks and belittles them.
Their work week is 5 days a week. Where does a “3 day work week” comment come from?
Residents day is next week
