Monday: Municipal Offices Closed In Honor Of Veterans Day; No Trash Pickup

Due to Veterans Day, Lakewood Township’s offices will be closed. Federal and State offices will also be closed. There will not be trash pickup either tomorrow, in observance of the Holiday.

Monday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Tuesday, and Tuesday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Wednesday. There will be no bulk collection this week.

Veterans Day is usually observed on November 11. However, if it occurs on a Sunday then the following Monday is designated for holiday leave.

  5. why would Lakewood Township offices be closed on an American Holiday. School’s are open on Thanksgiving.
    A better question is why would schools be open on Thanksgiving?

    if every holiday means door buster sales, i don’t see any reason why there shouldn’t be any school! unless to give time for shopping!!
