Monday: Columbus Day; Municipal offices closed; Trash pickup schedule

Today, Monday, is Columbus Day. It is a federal holiday, and the Municipal offices will be closed. There will also be no regular mail delivery. Courts are closed as well.

There will be no trash pickup on Monday: Monday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Wednesday. There will be no bulk collection this week.

Quick comment although I doubt anyone will still read it.Maybe some of the restaurants in town can open before 11 am on legal holdiays? If they want some extra business. Those off us who are off like to go for breakfast and every legal holiday we go from one milchig place to another before we can find one that’s open. And we aren’t usually the only ones….
