NJ Motorist Calls on Lakewood Township Committee to Rescind ‘Ladies First’ Courtesy Rule
After a violent skirmish broke out Sunday on a Lakewood, NJ street when a brazen, overly-polite driver allowed a woman to go ahead of him, an outraged NJ motorist is demanding that Lakewood Township “rescind the antiquated ‘Ladies First’ courtesy rule once and for all!”
“Time is important to me,” said Lakewood motorist William Manfirst, who beat the brazenly polite driver to a pulp after the former lost “a half minute of precious time” due to the unexpected act of courtesy, “and there’s no reason I should arrive home late to lunch just because of some antiquated ‘Ladies First’ etiquette!”
“It’s time to pull the plug on this courtesy rule once and for all,” Mr. Manfirst said, “hence, I’m calling on the Township committee to repeal this ridiculous courtesy statute forthwith!”
When asked whether the Township committee would vote to repeal the ‘Ladies First’ ordinance, Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles told reporters on Sunday that rules pertaining to courtesy and etiquette are are not within the purview of the Township committee.
“Courtesy and etiquette rules can only be repealed by the State Assembly’s ‘Courtesy and Politeness’ Committee,” Mayor Coles said, “nevertheless, I’ll email the State and ask them whether they can rescind or readjust this common rule of courtesy to better suit the needs of today’s highly impatient motorists.”

Translation: When people are present, the state of themselves is in the wrong.
Point: Someone or maybe more than one, did something wrong and it brings out morally wrong responses.

Translation: when we are peopled into groups, what do we have in common that isn’t wrong?
