  1. To Toms River Mom

Please don’t compare the 2. Toms River strong is a large group of people with an agenda. The other is a silly comment by an annonymous commenter ,who for all we know could be a 12 year old kid. We cant prevent every silly comment made by one or 2 anonymous bloggers. We can prevent a large group of people creating a movement with an agenda to exclude others from their town .

  2. A women and girl dressed frum, (the lady was even wearing a snood) knocked on my door 2 weeks ago on Brewers Bridge and tried to pass along J. Witnesses brochures. Be aware and warn your kids not to accept the materials.

  3. I believe Toms River Strong is a movement that tells people not to worry and don’t move just because of the new community moving in. People are people, I don’t care who my neighbors are as long as they are polite to me and my family as I am to them.

  4. The missionaries more than know about this. They come prepared to have a long argument with someone who just will (one should not unless they’re prepared for this). It’s hard to understand why they do this; they know no Jews will take the materials from them. Either they are getting money or are just hypnotized into “saving” the world. The ultimate wrong is when they missionize to uneducated Jews – with little religious background – that is really unfair.
—DO NOT TAKE THEIR MATERIALS – EVEN TO THROW IT OUT!!! YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE OR SORRY ABOUT!!! THEY ARE TRAINED TO BE VERY POLITE ETC; ALMOST TO THE POINT WHERE PEOPLE ARE UNCOMFORTABLE TO SAY NO! YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BE SORRY ABOUT. SAY ‘NO AND HAVE A GOOD DAY!’
It’s a free country, and there’s nothing in what they’re doing that’s illegal, so there’s basically no way to stop them. But you don’t have to feel subservient to them in any way; you will not make them feel bad by not taking their materials; THEY KNOW YOU’RE NOT GOING TO , but feel they are there to help the world.
One person who deals in anti missionary went out and had a debate with them. He was able to debunk their ideas. His wife brought out ices (in the summer), and explained to them that we are happy with the way of life we live, and are not looking to change. They’ve come in Lakewood. Sometimes they’re young guys in their twenties. Once a man brought along his ten-year-old son; probably so no one should tell him anything to his face – becasue it’s in front of a child.

    • I just want to clarify: we don’t have anything against any human-being; we respect them as a creation of God. I’m just wondering why they go to Jewish homes when they know they will not take the materials from them. (Maybe they don’t want to discriminate – and go to all homes, Heh heh! 🙂

  5. I once gave it them over their heads with their stupidity, it was mormons I asked them a question they couldn’t answer and poof they were gone red faced.

  6. They don’t go to just Jewish families. My house has Christmas decorations and they come to my door. I tell them no thank you and close the door. I also have faith in my beliefs so am not interested in their message but my impression is they believe they are doing good, therefore, no reason to be rude.
