Misaskim: Updated Levaya Information For R’ Shlomo Pomerantz Z’L

Misaskim has requested that TLS post a change in plans for the Levaya of Reb Shlomo Pomerantz Z’L. The Levaya will be taking place at the Ramada Hotel Parking Lot at the JFK Airport, at 9:00 PM. Reb Pomerantz, a son-in-law of Reb Asher Weil of Chicago and with family in Lakewood, was Niftar in Chicago following a lengthy illness..

The Aron is expected to arrive in Eretz Yisroel on Monday evening on El Al flight 008. A Levaya will be held at about 7:15 p.m. on Har Hamenuchos.

  1. R Shlomie was a special person from his days in yehsiva. Although it was many years between that we spoke, i always felt a close kesher from the small group of bochrim who came from Philadelphia to be the pioneers in South Bend yeshiva.

    Shlomie was a very special person. Anyone who read his letters in the Yated received a glimpse of his kedusha and avoda.

    May he be a meilitz yosher to his wife, children and extened family.

  3. I met reb shloime once but his warmth the poured out was amazing! He should be a malitz yosher to all of klal yisroel and to his hielige mishpacha
