By K.L. Lag B’Omer in Lakewood has always been a special time. Our community has the chance to get out and join the Minyan at a delectable BBQ, with great live music, dancing, rides and fun.
Due to the overflowing crowds expected, this year the Lag B’Omer BBQ will be held at Pine Park.
This is the place to spend Lag B’Omer with your children. You don’t want to miss it.
Every year the highlight of the event is the grand raffle drawing where one lucky winner will walk away with a whopping $10,000!
Minyan Shelanu services over 500 local children, teenagers families and adults with an array of supportive and rehabilitative services. But, most importantly, the Minyan is a ‘judgment-free zone’ where everybody is accepted and appreciated. Through its amazing team of unassuming, warm, Rabbeim and mentors, hearts are touched and lives are changed. Many times, no one else has been able to reach these precious memebers of our community. But, at the Minyan, by providing a truly nurturing atmosphere, nothing is impossible.
“The Minyan,” as it is lovingly called in the Lakewood community, is led by Rav Chaim Y. Abadi Shlit”a. Rav Abadi is known for his huge heart and unyielding commitment to help our communities youth. Through the years he has touched thousands, by creating a much needed oasis from the threatening outside world.
The Minyan features a Bais Medresh with top notch Rabbeim, along with a fully stocked game room, allowing the students in the Minyan to kick back and relax in a torahdik atmosphere. This rare blend has created a second home for hundreds of talmidim through years, becoming their spiritual foundation.
Every day the Minyan is changing lives! This is your opportunity to get involved and help make a difference in our community. Our future is dependent on what each of us does today to protect the sanctity of our youth. Please, this Lag B’Omer, come and show your support.

Note: At Minyan Shelanu the highest standards of behavior and tzinus are expected and the event will reflect this ideal. Also, Minyan Shelanu kindly requests that teenage girls not attend the event unless accompanied by a parent.

Will there be fine china and linen tablecloths?
Rabbi Abadi we all owe you a huge thanks. Most people in Lakewood don’t even know a fraction of what you do for the community. A special round of applause for yitzi Abadi for always standing by his father’s side and helping in his avodas hakodesh.

Why do the teenage girls need adults to be with them?
To Mr Minyan Mentor
I wouldn’t call toilets and sinks “gashmiusdickeh luxus”
Thank you Minyan Mentor. To number 4: Thank god you don’t know of my disabilty.

The Minyan Mentor was obviously not referring to the toilets and the sinks. I hope you did not think that it was just a bonfire with toilets and sinks to use.
He was probably referring to all the food and yummy music and dancing.
Either way, your comment just comes to show how spoiled we are that we can’t even appreciate the simple luxury of having easy access to toilets and sinks.
