Millions of Dollars Worth of Merchandise Stolen, Offices Destroyed in Lakewood Heist

The thieves, who entered through a roof, made off with more than $4,000,000 in merchandise, authorities tell TLS

A heist has left a Lakewood business destroyed, while the thieves made off with millions of dollars in merchandise, TLS has learned.

When the Frum business-owner arrived at his warehouse this week, he found the offices destroyed, security cameras disarmed and computers smashed – but this was just the tip of the iceberg.

Based on the preliminary findings from the investigation, it appears the professional thieves broke in through the roof of the warehouse, and went after items they apparently knew were there – ransacking the entire warehouse.

The thieves made off with over $4,000,000 worth of electronic merchandise, police told TLS.

In addition, a work van containing an additional $400,000 worth of equipment was stolen as well. The vehicle was later tracked to an address in Newark.

The incident is under investigation by the Lakewood Police Detective Bureau and the Ocean County Sherriff’s Department and CSI.

My heart goes out to this business owner, may Hashem turn everything around very quickly for him and may He give him back double of what he lost.

are you just as hurt when someone bashmutzes, protests, intimidates and otherwise harasses an innocent Jew or group of Jews just to steal a vote away from them?

hmm, and lets say this thing struck him more, is that a reason for your indignation?
The point you make could just as well have been made by saying “And the same way this hurts you, every tzar a yid has, should affect us. How can we find that sometimes it seems accepted for one to harass and besmirch for a vote”?

It has nothing to do with inconsistency.

it is inconsistent to permit every compromise for your own needs and then hamper someone else’s legitimate bid for relevant productivity with self righteous labeled hooliganism.

Why don’t we open a local community watch group that will round town in the night hours? No need for big organizations over here just regular community members on a group that will take shifts occasionally…

We used to have an organization for that…. It was called the police.
Now, they are too busy giving out tickets.

More than enough for grand larceny. Newark has been slacking too. Do not let bottom of the barrel get away with this.

Why does it matter that he is frum? Would you not think this story is news if he was African American?

of course it matters.
Certainly it would be an outrage if this happened to any NJ resident. (or beyond)

But lets stop pretending that different situations don’t affect us, as humans, differently.

If a mugger assaulted (R”L) a coworker you would be horrified, if it was your brother, I bet you would feel that a lot more.

Same here. Of course its an outrage if perpetrated against any person, but when it hits closer to home, it stings more.

There are family, and compatriots.

Lets stop pretending theres an issue that its not all the same
