This year’s Independence Day events will be taking place one day early, on Thursday July 3rd, the Township has announced. Like in other towns, the fireworks show is moved up a day in order to save money.
Doing the fireworks off-peak, would save on Police and Public Works overtime as well as on the fireworks, according to the Township. By pushing it up by one day, to July 3rd, the Township could save approximately $30,000, according to Township officials.
The Independence Day events will begin with a concert at the Amphitheater on North Lake at 7:30pm. Fireworks begin at 9:15 pm.
The Miles for Matlosz event will take place the same day at 6 PM at the Lake. [TLS]
