Message from the Lakewood Police Foundation

The Lakewood Police Foundation releases the following statement to TLS today.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the hundreds of fans who turned out for the basketball game premiere Tuesday night.

The attendance, the atmosphere, the excitement and the camaraderie exceeded all expectations, and was impressive on all levels. The unity was tangible, and all had a great time. The feedback we’ve been getting has been amazing.

It was the first of its kind, and the first of many exciting events for the Foundation.

A special Thank You again to all the sponsors who made this event possible and free to the public.

If there’s anything you feel should be improved for our next event, please let us know.

Thank you all,

Chief Gregory Meyer on behalf of the Lakewood Police Foundation Board.

  1. I am all for free speech..but I feel that the moderator doesn’t have to publish every ignorant comment.

If someone says something that adds to the conversation, then it should be allowed through. If someone writes something just to flare up anger and hate..it is the websites fault if they let that through. It’s up to the website to decide what’s relevant and what’s not..then allowing the comment..is akin to them publishing the comment.
