Memorial Day Traffic Causing Heavy Delays On Garden State Parkway

garden-state-parkway-c470b782bab63f34_mediumDrivers heading north today will see stretches of delays on the Garden State Parkway, according to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. Motorists will see a 16-mile delay in the northbound lanes from Exit 58 in Little Egg Harbor Township to Exit 74 in Lacey Township. A nine mile delay is slowing down northbound headed traffic from Exit 91 in Brick to Exit 102 in Tinton Falls. There is also a 12-mile delay around the Atlantic City Expressway exit, starting at Exit 25 to Exit 38A, the Atlantic City Expressway in Egg Harbor Township.

Heavy volume is also causing a two mile delay heading northbound in both the local and express Parkway lanes from south of Exit 117, Route 36 in Hazlet, to south of Exit 120, Laurence Harbor in Aberdeen.

Drivers are also seeing a three mile delay on the Parkway between Exit 109, Route 520 in Middletown, to Exit 114 in Holmdel.

On the New Jersey Turnpike, drivers are seeing a 6-mile delay due to heavy volume heading southbound from south of Interchange 2, Route 322 in Woolwich Township, to Interchange 1, the Delaware Memorial Bridge in Carney’s Point Township. Star Ledger
