Medevac requested after serious accident on GSP in Toms River [VIDEO]

At least one patient was seriously injured in an accident on the Garden State Parkway in Toms River this evening.

The accident happened shortly after 11:00 PM at mile marker 87 southbound, and reportedly involved a car and a dump truck.

Emergency crews are working to free a trapped patient.

A medevac was requested for at least one patient.

An investigation is underway.
