R’ Elchonon Wasserman said that the klalah on the nachash was that he would always have food and not need to ask Hashem for food. That Hashem didn’t want to have anything to do with him.

He might not be fun at parties, but is at home in more important environments that probably make you cringe or run for your life…..

What a negative remark to make to someone who is not letting the win go to head. As he is not going to retire. I am sure he will continue to thank Hashem that he won and that he is able to continue to do many good things and more.

Just explaining why I wouldn’t want to win that and why I am not jealous.

You don’t need to be jealous. If you would usually be jealous of something like this, you have major issues that you need to work on with your therapist!!

I do not know if ypu are jealous or not. What i do know is that your ” vort” about the klala of the nachash has NOTHING to do with this amazing occurrence from Hashem to his child (we are all children of Hashem). It was shocking that the first comment I read was so nauseatingly despicably disgusting!!!

Ploni Almoni

Why doesn’t it have anything to do with it? Do you think the nachash is just a story without lessons to learn from it?

Well, I assure you that no one wants anything to do with you because of your nasty attitude. And I’m ready to bet 10M that you are super jealous.

If you were truly not jealous, you wouldn’t feel it necessary to make sure no one else is!

I don’t see the connection. Why would me truly not being jealous cause me to not want to point out the fallacy to everyone?

That true, but, your line of thinking is applicable to anybody that has an abundance. It’s probably not the place to say it here- where Letzanim reside.

Hashem gives people money for many reasons. People do a lot of chesed with their money. There is no such thing that Hashem does not want to have anything to do with his children (us yidden)!
Hashem LOVES EVERY Yid. Hashem needs every Yid. And wants to hear from us and wants our tefillos. Hashem doesnt send people money so they shouldn’t have anything to do with him. Rabbi Wasserman ZTL HYD said this about the klala of the nachash. Rabbi Wasserman Ztl did NOT say anything about Hashem giving his children money so he shouldn’t have anything to do with them. This is a despicable analogy. And, very disrespectful to twist around a Tzaddiks vort to fit your agenda.

Mazel tov!!

Life is so expensive these days, that it reminds me of an old joke:

Guy: I won a $1M lottery!
Friend: What are you going to do with it?
Guy: Pay my Chovos.
Friend: And the rest?
Guy: They’ll have to wait!

Hope he invests it wisely and him and his family live off the dividends for many healthy and happy years!

I for one am happy that another yid has won a nice amount of money I’m sure his wife and children are ecstatic. To me, what can be more rewarding, then knowing there are yidden out there today that are overwhelmed with happiness. Additionally, when a yid wins that kind of money (really any amount of money) one can be sure it was orchestrated from above and it was His will that they should win this money…. and so how can we not be happy for them?

After Former Lakewood Resident Wins NY Lottery Prize, Current Lakewood Resident Says He’s Moving to NY So He Can “Win Lottery Prizes and Retire for Life!”
Upon learning that a former Lakewood resident recently won a top prize in the NY lottery, current Lakewood resident, Arthur Lottman, announced Wednesday that he is moving to NY so he can “win lots of cash prizes in the NY lottery and retire for life!”
“I see no reason for me to stay here in Lakewood,” Mr. Lottman said, “when I can move to NY, win lottery prizes and retire for life!”
“I have no idea why everyone else isn’t moving to NY to earn lottery cash and live like a king!” Mr. Lottman said.
Early this morning, Mr. Lottman rented out a small apartment in Brooklyn, but he says that, next week, immediately after he wins NY’s top lottery prize, he’ll be moving into a luxury home in Manhattan.
“I’m neither a fool nor a miser,” Mr. Lottman asserted, “there’s no reason for me to continue to live in a small apartment next week when I can use next week’s lottery earnings to purchase a brand new 10-story mansion in Manhattan!”

Did you mention Manhattan?
I heard that in Manhattan if
חס וחלילה
you need to call the Police, sometimes the Police will not come right away.
One of the reasons why Hashem sent the big flood during Noach, because there was no Police, everyone did as they please, the stronger guy was the winner.
