“Due to the winter storm and safety concerns about folks trying to come out for the meeting, we are canceling tonight’s Township Committee meeting,” Mayor Ray Coles told TLS. “Additionally, two committeemen are stuck out of town because of cancelled flights.”

Even though the snow may be over by this evening, “our public works employees and private contractors will be working late into the night cleaning up our streets,” the Mayor said. “The fewer people out on the roads tonight will allow them to get the job done more efficiently and safely.”

The meeting is being rescheduled for next Wednesday.

Also be aware, says Coles, “that this will be a much heavier snow than the last storm. Please be extra careful when shoveling and try to help out any neighbors who are having a rough time doing it themselves.”
