Mayor Albert Akerman has notified TLS that trash pickup on Thursday will begin at 4 AM instead of at 7 AM due to the impending storm, as well as the expected traffic due to the Purim holiday.
“Residents should make sure to leave their trash out the night before or they may miss it,” Akerman says.
The Mayor also asked thatĀ bins be brought back as soon as possibleĀ in case plows are needed.

Smart idea. I was wondering how garbage pickup would play out with storm and Purim.
I suppose you realize by now that you wrote Sunday in the headline.
Why doesn’t trash pick up begin at 4 AM every morning, so as not to interfere with school bus pick up?
i think this should be done every day and especially erev pesach
Is there going to be a 90 minute delay?
If the roads aren’t safe , they should have a delay. It’s rediclicous to have trash pick up at 4 am every day. Then people will complain the trucks are waking them up .
To Paul and Chaim, Let’s not forget, the trash truck drivers are also human. The should also be able have a good night sleep.
@Really, it’s called shift work. I start many of my days very early. Everyone is human but jobs come with a certain schedule.
