Marines are scheduled to conduct field artillery training at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Dix ranges March 20-22.
The training is scheduled to occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
During this time, the joint base community and residents of the surrounding areas may experience ground shaking and considerable noise coming from the ranges. The noise may travel farther during overcast weather conditions.
“This training is essential and helps ensure the readiness of America’s fighting force,” the Base said. “Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst works hard to minimize the impact training has on its surrounding communities and is committed to remaining good neighbors.”

Does anyone know if this constant tremmoring damages our houses? I often can hear my windows tremble while these exercises are going on!
So does mine. Small price to pay to ensure these men & women have the training they need yo keep them safe!
Well If my house collapses one day killing me and my family then that’s not such a small price!!
thinking of moving to the area – how loud is it on day-to-day basis? pls be honest, have small kids:>
