Many Lakewood Residents Leaving Town Ahead Of Hurricane

lkwd_leaving_townDriving alongside you on you the highway may be many other Lakewood residents today and Friday, as local families pack up and head out of Town for the weekend ahead of Hurricane Irene. Aside from the hundreds traveling up to the Catskills for Shabbos, many are looking to get as far away from the East Coast as possible.

Before heading out of town, be sure to lock up your home and pack away anything around your yard. Besides for being an extreme hazard in the high winds, items left outside may not be there when you return home.

If you have guests coming for Shabbos, you may want to offer them a ‘rain check’. TLS-MK.

  1. I want to know why if everyone is being warned with plenty of time why are my neighbors who live in basements just sitting back and relaxing? One neighbor even told me “its my landlords problem”. now even if the landlord is responsible in the long run for the damages who in their crazy mind wants a flood in their apartment especially if it can be avoided.. whats wrong with everyone ??? just keep blaming yenem! we really live in a self centered take only generation.
