Man with knife arrested on 4th Street in Lakewood [PHOTOS]

A short time before Shabbos, a man with a knife was taken into custody in downtown Lakewood.

Shortly before 7:00 PM, a man armed with a knife allegedly fled police following a fight in the area of the motel on 5th Street and Madison Avenue.

Police caught up with the man, tackling him and taking him into custody – but not before he reportedly tossed the knife.

Police combed the area for the weapon, though it’s unknown if it was recovered.
