A man shot and killed himself outside police headquarters today, police say.

”Approximately 3:00 PM this afternoon, officers discovered a male with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the parking lot of police headquarters on Oak Avenue,” police said.

”Officers immediately rendered aid, and he was transported to Community Medical Center by Silverton First Aid where he was pronounced.”

The investigation is on-going at this time.
