Man Finds Matured Marijuana Plants Behind Fragrance Business

marijuana_tls_wmPHOTO: Police this afternoon seized matured Marijuana plants after they were spotted behind a fragrance business in Lakewood. Police say a man walking in the woods behind the Trilogy Fragrances building on Oak Street came across the 5 foot plants and notified Police.

Growing Marijuana in NJ can result in hefty fines/prison time if convicted.

The plants were loaded up into a police van and brought to Police headquarters. TLS-CCP/TLS-MK.

  1. I’ve seen plenty of people growing it in their backyard. it is a real CASh crop. You’d be surprised how many nice folks have them growing in Trenton and Camden.

  2. Maybe it’s news to you Aaron that medical marijuana was legalized in NJ, not all “pot”. You will need a prescription from a doctor to obtain it. Just because medical marijuana was legalized does not make it legal to grow your own either.

  3. So happy they found that out before anything else went further. People have to stop doing things illegaly because they will get caught no matter how secretive they try to be. No one gets away with the law.

  4. I think they should legalize it and tax it. Not that I smoke pot, but its a no brainer… The whole world is doing it- probably even some in law enforcement take a puff every now and then on weekends. So just legalize it and take in the tax revenue. What’s the difference beyween that and alcohol anyway… Both make you high.
