A 26 yr old Lakewood man has succumbed to injuries following an altercation at a concert last night in Lakewood, police say.
The victim* is believed to have been involved in a brief altercation inside Lake Terrace Hall around 2:00 am this morning, police say.
“He, as well as several hundred others, attended a Latin-themed concert when a minor altercation took place outside the lobby,” Detective Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith says. “At the time, police who were already on scene due to the large crowd were not immediately alerted.”
A short time later, the police found the victim on the ground in a remote section of the parking lot with a serious head injury
“The details surrounding how he sustained his injuries are not known at this time,” says Staffordmsith.
He was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center where he passed away around 7 PM tonight.
An active investigation is currently being conducted by the Lakewood Police Department, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI Unit.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Michael Cavallo at 732-363-0200 and/or Det. John Murphy at 732-929-2027.

Lake terrace? The chashnah hall?
Is that a mistake or real?
Yes,
Lake terrace has had a number of concerts Friday night.
Its not a mistake The hall is rented out friday nights for the lo mishelunu
crowd when a. Large hall is needed for their entertainment purposes
#4 – Real – 1690 Oak St – there are concerts there on Friday nights and Saturday too
What a shame. A place that should be kept bikedusha where young couples are starting to build a bayis neman biyisroel is being rented out to have tumah going on there. Time to put a stop to this. I see all the time advertisements about these parties
How about some condolences? This article discusses a person’s death -this isn’t the time to discuss the appropriateness of Lake Terrace’s use.
My condolences to the family of the deceased.
@josh thats funny… if your so busy with kedusha like that then why are you looking at those tumah advertisements??
#8 Josh…..I have a modest proposal. Perhaps as a remedy to the Bikedusha problem as you’ve so well spoken of, you or a consortium of you and the like-minded should buy Lake Terrace.
To #8 – as horrible as this was, sorry for the family (prayers are with you), other people have the right to exist. You’re beliefs may not be for everyone. There are many different nationalities/religions in Lakewood. We need to respect that, just as we respect yours.
Is that hall allowed to be rented if it’s owned by a yid?
Do they rent out the kitchen?
To the family and friends of this young man, Our prayers are with you and your family. You don’t know how this feels until something happens to your family. Hopefully, you’ll never know the pain.
What kind of nonsense is that? A hall that is used for a concert affects a chassuna seudah that takes place there afterwards? Do you really have no other issues in your life?
Typo – 8 + 2 = 10. What did I post that was SO offensive. I don’t get it. Just saying that there are many people in this area that deserve to be respected, not just the Jewish community.
This is not the time to be discussing the use of the Lake Terrace Hall. A human being has just passed away. Do you have no sympathy?
TLS, sorry, you did post my response.
My condolences, from wat i herd, a girl calld him out n he followed n he got jumpd by 5 guys…
