Man Claims He Was Stabbed with Scissors during ‘Suitcase’ Exchange in Howell

The Howell Township Police Department is investigating a reported armed assault at a local Taco Bell.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the Howell resident met up with an acquaintance, a 34 year of male from Brick, to exchange some property, specifically a suitcase. During this exchange, the Howell resident claimed that the Brick resident wanted to be compensated for his efforts, which resulted in an argument.

The argument carried into the parking lot, where the Howell resident claimed he was assaulted by additional unknown male subjects, punched in the face, stabbed in the chest area with scissors, choked and had his foot run over by a vehicle.

The assailants then fled the area in an unknown vehicle without receiving their compensation.

During this assault the victim’s friend, a 47 year old female, was also present and involved in the altercation.

Both victims were examined and treated by Howell Police EMS at the Howell Police Department. Neither victim was transported to the Hospital.

The incident is currently being investigated and any criminal charges are pending at this time. Please contact Detective R. Jackson #677 or Oficer C. Casterlin #680 with any information.
