A man who allegedly committed multiple burglaries and other crimes in Toms River, is off the streets.
On July 12, Toms River Detectives charged Jesse James Sauer, 25, of Beachwood with multiple burglaries and thefts, including the taking of a motor vehicle.
On July 7, he is alleged to have entered two homes in the Cranmoor section of Toms River and removed property and cash.
He additionally is alleged to have stolen a motor vehicle from the Money Island area of the Township on July 10. This 2003 Ford F350 was subsequently found on fire in the woods of South Toms River Township the morning after it was stolen.
Sauer was charged by Toms River Detectives with committing burglaries to two houses as well as the vehicle theft.
He was additionally charged by the South Toms River Police Department with Aggravated Arson, Hindering, and Destruction of Evidence as it related to the stolen truck from Toms River. Proceeds of the crimes were located upon the execution of a court authorized search warrant at Sauer’s Beachwood residence.
Sauer remains lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI, Ocean County Fire Marshall, South Toms River Police, and Beachwood Police & Fire Departments worked cooperatively to tie Sauer to these multiple crimes.
