When Trump was using Twitter and tweeting constantly – and his admirers were retweeting his tweets and tweeting their ‘replies’ and ‘likes’ – I could see why all that Twitter traffic could cause an outage. But with Trump leaving the Twitter platform, it’s difficult to believe that the mere back-and-forth tweets between Elon Musk and the Twitter head honchos could cause an outage.

It’s over. Lasted an hour. Not all systems were affected. Ads were fine (of course), developer’s portal servers were fine (wonder what algorithm tweaks they did, to stymie Musk discovery requests on bogus accounts, censorship and bot tweets), all streams and endpoints were offline. This was no glitch IMPO. Truth is I don’t really care, I quit FB and Twitter a long time ago. If I were you, I would too. Too much of a serious privacy risk. Musk would be better off starting his own. Twitter is trying to extort him. Maybe this was his plan, to expose them. Stupid, he’s not.
