The State of New Jersey’s Business Action Center (BAC) will be presenting, “N.J. Resources for Business Growth” followed by business-to-business networking, Tuesday, February 10, 2015, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Historic Strand’s Auditorium, 400 Clifton Avenue, Lakewood. The event is hosted by the Lakewood Development Corporation, Ocean County College, NJ Manufacturing Extension Program and the Ocean County Workforce Investment Board.
Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno is the keynote speaker. Networking and an opportunity to meet with agency representatives about their programs and incentives will follow the Lt. Governor’s address. Among others, representatives from the following N.J.State departments will be available to answer questions one-on-one:
Business Action Center, Labor and Workforce Development, Economic Development Authority, State Library, Division of Taxation, Division of Revenue, NJ State Trade, Export Promotion and Division of Purchase and Property.
Also on hand will be officials from the Lakewood Urban Enterprise Zone program, Foreign Trade #235, NJ Manufacturing Extension Program (MEP) and Ocean County College to discuss programs, incentives and training opportunities. Businesses involved in manufacturing will be eligible for a Quick View Assessment of their company by the MEP at no charge.
Patricia Komsa, the executive director, of the UEZ, said, “This is an excellent opportunity for businesses to meet one-on-one with local and state agencies to learn about incentives and gather information. In addition, this an easy way to do business-to-business networking.”
