LRRC, Chemed, UEZ, Agudah PCS And IDT, Team Up With Learn & Network Kollel

honig with agudas gedalya weinberger The Learn & Network Kollel has recently added some big names to their growing Network, including the LRRC, Chemed, the UEZ, Agudah’s PCS, and IDT. Although recently faced with an extra challenge when they had to relocate shortly after their launch due to the floor collapse at the Chavrei Hakollel, the Learn & Network Kollel has for the meantime found a temporary home at the newly constructed Askenaz Shul of Brookhill Estates, 1009 Brook Road.

“B’H I am proud to say that we are back on track”, says the programs founder Duvi Honig.

“We welcome LRRC as offering their services at networking hour”, says Honig. “Yungerlte will be able to schedule private meetings in advance and learn about all the programs that are available to assist them and be helped filling it out on premises this would avoid unnecessary exposure in public office waiting rooms”.

LRRC, says Honig, will be preparing a special video with a step by step presentation showing all available programs and hoe to fill out the forms.

The UEZ:

Steven Reinman, Director of Economic Development and Yehuda Abraham, Director of Business Development, will be coming at networking hour and are offering $35,000 loan at 3% and up to $20,000 for advertising for new and existing Lakewood businesses.

The will also be setting  us up with SCORE – a federal government program which consists of retired executives from all different type of company’s who will offer lectures and direct learn and network Yungerlite.

Agudah’s PCS:

Gedalya Weinberger and Daniel Soloff of Agudah’s PCS said all Doors are open for Learn & Network, Honig says, who explained to Rabbi Weinberger the challenge Lakewood faces in this economy.

PCS will be offering consulting and informing the Lakewood community of different services they offer.

“Learn & network and PCS have developed a method to have someone from the Kollel follow up about job applications handed in to avoid people feeling uncomfortable of constantly having to follow up on their own”, says Honig. “This would help them feel more human about themselves”, he says.

Another organization joining the Learn & Network Kollel is IDT.

Moshe Kravitz will give classes at networking hour which will include:

–   Writing a Powerful Resume
–   Effective Interviewing
–   Interview FOLLOW-UP that actually INFLUENCES the decision
–   Winning the Salary Negotiation

“There is a fully stocked Otzer Hasfarim and computer room available, as well as refreshments donated by Decorative Touch Furniture on a daily basis”, says Honig.

Note the schedule change.

Mincha begins at 4:25 p.m., Seder at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Networking program at 6:30 p.m. TLS.

  1. First of all thanks these are all great programs
I just have a idea for pcs that they should have someone on staff that fixes up resumes and writes them will help the people looking for jobs have a better chance and save them some money ( already jobless )
Just an idea . Thanks for all the work you guys do .

  2. I was at the LRRC and met with someone who had a vast knowledge of programs; it’s disregards, deductions, benefit calculations etc. He explained me all sorts of things, such as the differences between earned and unearned income in regard to some of the programs, scholarship for each program depending on several factors (sometimes it’s considered income and sometimes not), discretionary income (when it has to be reported and when it does not) and much much more.Being that each person’s individual situation is unique, I don’t think that one can determine everything from watching a general video.
