LRRC and Chemed to host seminar on Preparing for Retirement

Do you want to be ready for retirement? Do you have a parent who’s retired or nearing retirement age? Do you want to be ready but have no idea where to start? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you can benefit from attending the Know Your Retirement Options event. This free event, hosted by the LRRC and CHEMED, will take place on November 1 at 7:30 pm in the CHEMED Education Room at 1771 Madison Avenue in Lakewood.

The event will commence with a presentation on Medicaid planning by Medicaid Specialist Mindy Salzberg, followed by a discourse on Medicare Open Enrollment by Medicare Insurance Specialist Shmuel Zaidman. As the event coincides with the Medicare Open Enrollment period, its timing will allow attendees to learn about their options and make the right insurance choices.

Sam Lowy, a Retirement Planning Expert, will talk to attendees about Proven Concepts in a Successful Retirement, focusing on planning for our parents as well as ourselves. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Elchonon Glantz, who will also speak about recommended immunizations for seniors. Light refreshments will be served.

As it is crucial to begin preparing for retirement decades before you actually retire, the Know Your Retirement Options event is geared towards local residents of all ages. Please feel free to email any questions or suggestions to [email protected].
