LPD To Increase Patrols For Halloween – Mischief Night Causes Some Damage To Homes

The Lakewood Police Department, as well as LCSW will have additional patrols out this evening for Halloween as trick-or -treaters take to the streets. Mischief night – also known as Devil’s Night or Egg Nyte – did land some residents with eggs splattered on their homes last night.

Motorists tonight are urged to use extra caution and lookout for children in the roadways making their way around town during trick-or-treat hours. Please slow down and yield to pedestrians.

Pedestrians are also urged to use caution and lookout for vehicles and only cross in crosswalks.

To all celebrating Halloween, have a Happy and safe Halloween’ TLS.
