LPD offers free one-night self defense course for women; Limited slots available

Lakewood Cert in conjunction with the Lakewood Police Department is offering a one night free self defense course for women.

The two-hour evening course will take place on Tuesday, January 9th at the police academy in Lakewood (Ocean County Park).

Will definitely be sending my wife there. This day in age it is very important for everybody to know self-defense especially woman. These classes should be given more often and encouraged by our community. Thank you LPD for taking care of this.

Not through lpd. Confused as to who is behind this. Advertising for women yet making it sound unsafe. No contact information provided. Response to email is from lcsw who is on maternity leave ?!?
