Off-duty Lakewood police officers, together with Police Chief Greg Meyer, volunteered their time this past weekend to collect unwanted drugs from Lakewood residents.
During an event in the senior villages in Lakewood, officers collected 237 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs – 24 more pounds than last year’s event.
The event was part of the National Drug Take Back day.
