VIDEO: During this evening’s blackout, multiple traffic lights at some major intersections went out, tying up several officers. In order to free up officers for other emergencies, the LPD called on Chaveirim to direct traffic. Some of the intersections affected were Princeton Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard, Route 9 and Kennedy Boulevard, Forest Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard, Forest Avenue and County Line and others.
Power was restored to most areas at 10:30 PM. TLS-SRCG.

where i do thank chaveirim fir their help like always , i cant help but to wonder why the lpd,lfd,and lakewood ems do not get the same recognition ? they serv the community every day 24-7 for over 100 years . we can not and should not pick any one group to praise. i thank all of our fine towns public services .
