LPD: Burglar Arrested May be Responsible for Similar Style Burglaries, but Not ‘Big’ Ones

csi lkwdPolice say the burglar who was arrested on Wednesday gained entry to the home by removing an air condition unit.

After making entry through the window, the suspect, identified as Mr. Jose Baez-Rufino, then left through a back door. The suspect left a bike at the scene.

This same suspect may also be responsible for similar style burglaries, police say, though it doesn’t appear to be the same suspect as the larger and more sophisticated burglaries that have been occurring around town.

Jose Baez-Rufino was lodged at Ocean County Jail on a $30,000 warrant issued for his arrest.
