After reading TLS’s report of residents assaulted by eggs over Yom Tov, LPD’s Detective Lieutenant William Addison sent the following email to TLS: “We are working on these cases. We have several reports and request that any person(s) that have not reported an encounter to immediately make a report.”

People really should file a report. It doesn’t take much time and only will help improve the safety of Lakewood. I personally was involved in such a case awhile back and I saw how seriously the LPD took the case. They don’t make away with it just because it was only eggs thrown. It starts with eggs and…..
the yokes on you, but you should take a few minutes and report the facts to the police department. they will come to u 24/7 to take the report, or you can walk into hq on third street.
I have nothing to report personally, but there is a bunch of cracked eggs on the sidewalk at the corner of Oak Knoll Road and North Lake Drive.

its not the job of the LCSW to file an incident report with the police. The person that got hit should file it. The LCSW is not a law enforcement entity and they were not there on site when it happened..or were they?? thus they may not have the most accurate information at hand
Officer Gregg is very friendly and helpful as well. Very personable fellow. He solves real crimes.
I heard a bunch of guys from Slomowitz Yeshiva got hit while walking to meals. But the don’t have internet. How they gonna know 2 file with out TLS
I heard Officer Allen #287 was personally taking all these reports, give him a call he is a wonderful Officer.He advised me personally he would stop at nothing to get these rowdies and hooligans

I am sure all the LPD Officers arer professiona, courteous, and looking to stop crime, so I don’t understand what these comments are all about!!

You do not have to have been hit by the egg to report it, if an egg was thrown at you that is enough to show intent. The LPD is treating it as a bias crime the more people that report that eggs were thrown at them the stronger the case is. If we dont show the police we care when these thiings happen why should they care?
i read in the original article by TLS that a resident seen the vehicle in question, got the make & model- but called the lcsw who didnt even pick up.
i just want to remind all the residents, that the lcsw is not a law enforcement group. they are not even security guards.

i was walking on 7th and someone in a small white car threw an egg at me. why should i report it they already know its a small white car?
If you live in a big city with real problems you must worry about getting hit with more destructive things than eggs. It was some kids having fun, big deal.
