A man attempting to burglarize multiple vehicles was arrested by police early this morning, TLS has learned. An Lakewood Civilian Safety Patrol member patrolling at about 3:30 AM, witnessed a black male trying to open car doors of several vehicles along Squankum Road.
The unit called for backup, who observed the man for about fifteen minutes before calling police, LCSW members tell TLS.
Police arrived several minutes later and located the man on Squankum Avenue near County Line Road.
The suspect was questioned by police and then taken into custody.
Great job LPD and LSCW!!! You guys are great!!!
Awesome Lcsw
How lucky the residents of Lakewood are to have such a wonderful organization. I hope the residents appreciate and support them. I wish my town had such an org.
Thx LPD & LCSW for doing ur all to keep us safe!
Great job! But unfortunatly this guy will be right back on our streets!!!!
Another job well done by LCSW!! Prob the most underappreciated orginization in town.
great job 71!! and dont forget the great 311!!
great!
Why is it important to write his color? Why is that important to the story?
because its important to know that he wasnt a illegal immigrant.. TLS is fair and balanced
dont understand why lpd wasnt called right away
why after 15 minutes ??
Little offended by your description !!
What was he arrested for?
Leroy,
Why, what’s the problem?
Because if LPD would be called right away w/o the perp actually committing a crime(meaning only TRYING car doors, but not actually going into the car) they would let him go.
Pd wasent called right away because he didnt do anything right away (silly question) its because of lcsw diligence he was apprehendid for auto burglary
where are all the illegal bashers. I know where the illegals are, working hard to support there family
