LPD Arrest Man Observed by LCSW Attempting to Burglarize Vehicles

A man attempting to burglarize multiple vehicles was arrested by police early this morning, TLS has learned. An Lakewood Civilian Safety Patrol member patrolling at about 3:30 AM, witnessed a black male trying to open car doors of several vehicles along Squankum Road.

The unit called for backup, who observed the man for about fifteen minutes before calling police, LCSW members tell TLS.

Police arrived several minutes later and located the man on Squankum Avenue near County Line Road.

The suspect was questioned by police and then taken into custody.

  1. How lucky the residents of Lakewood are to have such a wonderful organization.  I hope the residents appreciate and support them. I wish my town had such an org. 

  2. Because if LPD would be called right away w/o the perp actually committing a crime(meaning only TRYING car doors,but not actually going into the car) they would let him go.

  3. Pd wasent called right away because he didnt do anything right away (silly question) its because of lcsw diligence he was apprehendid for auto burglary
