The Lakewood Police Department has announced the passing of Ptl. Rob Anderson following a lengthy illness.
Rob served as a U.S. Marine before being hired by the LPD in 1988.
”We are saddened by the loss of Robert Anderson#258,” Lakewood Police Chief Greg Meyer told TLS. “He was a devoted husband father grandfather and a true family man.”
”Rob worked for me on midnights for many years. Rob was an expert Sheetrock and taper who would often do repairs on the side.”
The Chief added, “He fought a courageous battle with ALS never loosing faith or his great sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him and those that didn’t certainly lost out, as he was a cop’s cop and a truly all around great guy. He will be missed and we know he has found peace at last.”
In 2020, Anderson was transferred to Lakewood for further medical care, and upon arrival received a welcome by a large crowd at MMCSC.
Funeral details will be published when available.
May he R.I.P.
