PHOTOS: A loose sheep was the cause of some extra rush hour traffic this afternoon. The sheep, purchased by a resident for Shecitah, was seen running loose in the area of 2nd Street and Madison Avenue, causing motorists to swarve around it. Police responded and managed to
finally corner the sheep on Forest Avenue, while the owner was located.
Responding Officerers were Ptl. Mike Ruez (pictured) and Ptl. Kevin Martin.
The Officers gave the animal water to prevent it from dehydrating.

Druso?
Sheep on the road? That’s baaaad! What did ewe get me into?
Can we petition the LPD to clean out all the pet rooster and their chicks from town too??
The owner must have felt very sheepish that his animal was on the lam!
In the old days, there was a slaughter house on 4th St. near the old shul
The question is, what did Officer Ruiz do with the sheep afterward?
It didn’t want to be schechted so it ran away.
