After Perusing Travel Blog, Lakewood Resident Laments: “There Are Way Too Many Things For Me To Do This Summer!”
A Lakewood resident, who recently perused an online travel blog in search of something to do during his summer vacation, is now complaining that there are “way too many things for me to do!”
“I was feeling down because I couldn’t find anything to do,” he told reporters on Monday, “but after perusing the travel blog, I am now inundated with a whole host of things to do, and I can’t decide which one of those things to do, and this is driving me insane!”
“I mean, I could go to Holland Ridge Farms, which is right here in Freehold, NJ.” he said. “Or I could go to Kennedy Park, which is located in Spring Valley, NY. The kids might enjoy the park better, but it’s a bit of a trip getting there. Of course, I can always go to the Teaneck Speedway, or to Monmouth Battlefield Park, hmm…, or maybe… Oye!… I can’t decide! Arghhh!”
“Frankly, life was much easier and much more enjoyable when I couldn’t find anything to do,” he said. “because then I would just eat breakfast at home in the mornings, head out to the local shul to learn for a few hours, and then order an ‘Everything Bagle’ with cream cheese for lunch – prior to taking a nice, long, relaxing bike ride around the lake, before heading back home and listening to some relaxing music.”
“But unfortunately, now, after perusing that travel blog,” he said, “I have to choose a vacation destination, order a car rental, reserve hotel rooms, purchase food for the trip – oye – and the list goes on! Who’s got patience for all of that?!”
“I can promise you one thing,” he said, “next summer, no travel blogs for me – because as soon as Tisha Ba’v is over, I’m setting up tent in my home, where I’ll have free, unlimited access to my own fridge, to my own bed, and to my very own peace of mind!”

The site seems to be loaded with those persnickety ads that jump out and cover content so that when you try to click a link or scroll it clicks you through to a pay per click ad.
