A local Lakewood resident who became a victim of the massive flooding this past March, is receiving assistance from the Federal Program FEMA, TLS has learned. The family’s basement was flooded with about a foot of water, doing major damage to the home, and was not covered by their Homeowners Insurance. On May 1st however, Governor Christie’s Office added Ocean County to the disaster zone area, making Lakewood a part of the Federal assistance program, and thereby eligible for the compensation. The family contacted FEMA, who immediately sent down an inspector, and determined that the family was indeed eligible for the funds.
If you have been a victim of flooding or other natural disasters, check out their website for more information on how you too may receive assistance.

Nice basement apartment.
Can someone post info on how others that were similarly affected can receive assistance?
Can FEMA finally get are snow plowed?
I’m happy for this guy. For HKB”H to send the government to bail him out is great.
where is hershel now?
I see you edited out my second sentence. Did it rub you the wrong way?
I had two inches in my basement over pasach and I applied for FEMA assistance and got money from them in less than a week. For those that unfortunately had damage you can apply for assistance either by calling them or going to the FEMA website.
