Local Healthcare Worker, former Employee in Lakewood, Makes Anti-Semitic Comments Online

Submitted: Susan Anne Rivas is a family nurse practitioner. I’ve been able to confirm that at least until February she was employed at Chai Urgent Care in Lakewood.

She seems to be currently practicing in Howell. Giving her profession and proximity to Lakewood, she would be tasked with the care of Orthodox Jews.

Please see attached screenshots of recent comments she made online about the community, clearly illustrating her disgust with Orthodox Jews.

Note: TLS has confirmed that she did indeed work at Chai Care, but is no longer employed there.

  1. I mean, to be fair, we might write some things on private WhatsApp chats that would be embarrassing if other nationalities saw them.
It makes me nervous to see what this person wrote or that vomiting emoji, but swap out the word ‘hasidics’ with another couple of nationalities and I’m not so sure we’re innocent of this either.
Where does personal profile chat and egregious behavior split?

(This may be one of my most controversial comments yet, and I’ve had a bunch already..)

    • WhatsApp is never really private and is less secure than most people think. Never say anything on WhatsApp that you wouldn’t want revealed. Any subpoena to the company will have them released and any hacker with minimal skills can obtain anything said on it by anyone with no effort especially if it is used on older or cheaper technology. I stopped using it years ago for anything but chitchat and gossip.

  2. Is it not true that we are moving in all over bla”h? And if there are people who are uncomfortable with us and our life style, why can’t they acknowledge that this discomfort as long as they are civil? If they become violent, that would be a whole new story.

  3. I hear people saying this neighborhood is all frum now and that neighborhood is getting frum…. Isn’t that the same thing?

It’s not bad to want to live with people like yourselves

  4. There is a reason why she longer works at Chai care. Kudos to the management for seeing that she isn’t a fit for our community. They need to be commended for seeing the future prior to this event.

  5. can the lakewood scoop put up guidelines on what to do if your worker is pro free palestine? there is a worker in a busy frum lakewood store that said that israelis are the devil and the whole israel belongs to muslims etc..
there might be other local employees wit that view too
