VIDEO & PHOTOS: Local Emergency Agencies Take Part in MCI Training Drill Simulating Overturned Bus

VIDEO & PHOTOS: Emergency personnel from local agencies took part in a Mass Casualty Incident training drill Sunday, simulating an overturned commuter bus with entrapped patients.

After the commuter bus overturned on its side, emergemcy crews were dispatched to the scene and used the bus’s front windshield and roof as means of extricating the injured. Once removed, the approximately 25 patients¬†were either wheeled to waiting ambulances, or placed in the Triage area.

The drill, which took place just off Route 9 South in Howell, was hosted by the Howell First Aid and Ramtown First Aid Squads, and involved First Aid Squads from Lakewood and Jackson as well as the Southard Fire Company.
