Purchasing Chometz from Target – even locally in Lakewood and Howell, as well as from Superfresh and Sunfresh Produce Store immediately after Pesach should be avoided if possible.
Items from these stores may be from a Jewish distributor that does not sell its Chometz, posing a problem for consumers in regards to Chometz not owned by a non-Jew over Pesach.
In addition, you must inquire regarding each Shoprite store.
Purchasing Chometz items immediately after Pesach from the following national stores, is okay.

What is this list based on?
Aldi is owned by a German company, non Jewish.
Do you know if the star bucks is ok to get from know
Amazon?
Very strange that you did not list the numerous Frum stores that ALL sold their Chometz properly, and probably have less Halacha problems as far as Chometz She-ovar than do the non-Jewish stores, who ALL purchase products from wholesalers, distributors or other middlemen who are wholly or partially owned by Jewish wholesalers and distributors!
All of these stores listed by you received deliveries of pure Chometz ON Pessach. Many of them purchased products on Pessach from middlemen that are Jewish or are at list part of a Jewish Shutfus. Thus, why would you promote these stores when there is a Mitzvas Asay of Vehechzaka Boch, to purchase and support frum yidden?? BH Lakewood has so many amazing stores, ALL of whom, go the extra mile to do everything correctly, and Lifnim MiShuras Hadin!!
Well said,Chaim. In our zeal to make sure that we buy chometz from a Goy L’Mehadrin, we overlook the fact that the Lakewood Supermarkets stocked up on products that could be subsequently sold through a Halachically proper Mechiras Chometz, without question as to whether it had been delivered during Yom Tov or been distributed by a Jewish Middle man. Of course I would rather buy my chometz from a Jew who can be relied on to have done a valid Mechiras Chometz.
It says national stores
What about target?
This is inaccurate. Target and nost other supermarkets purchase products through C&S Wholesale who sold their Chometz thyough remaining open on Pesach.
@Chaim; well said to the point. Why always look for something else when we have it in our backyard with no sh’eila what’s so ever?
Thank you so much for posting this information! Would you be kind and please post your soure.
Shoprite of Howell?
Chaim I totally agree with you. Why in the world would you Shop at Shoprite if Howell who has dim business selling Chomerz thruout Pesach, when you can shop at any Supermarket in Lakewood which was completely sold to a Guy over the Entire Yomtov which is Mehuder!!
If people want to buy in bulk then there is a reason to go to some of these stores
@Chaim um probably because everyone knows frum Jewish stores are ok they have signs saying they sold their chametz they are under hashkacha unlike non frum or non Jewish stores where it’s unknown and it’s a public service to let people know.
What about stop and shop?
Is the Howell shop rite ok?
This article seems to be based off of the star k list which is FOR BALTIMORE ONLY (I’m guessing that because I see local Baltimore stores on this list). The star k specifies that one should ask their local vaad
Amazing how Lakewood always has to rely on Baltimore for the most important information. Why cant Lakewood finally figure out basic halacha? Chametz that wasnt sold is assur. The oilam legit missed the boat.
People don’t want to rely on mecheras chometz so shitos holds more like a aromo because the goy doesn’t pay for the millions of dollars of chometz he gives a small down payment and if after yom tov he wants to keep it he has to come up with the money which of course he doesn’t and we buy it back for money then he gave he makes money
what about quick check?
