Former Fire Chief John Stillwell, one of the Fire Prevention events co-ordinators tells TLS that two planned fire prevention events for next week have been cancelled. The August 8 and August 11 dates were cancelled, Stillwell says, due to a lack of reservations.
But Stillwell says the series of events for children was a tremendous success, with over 1,000 children attending.
The last event for the Summer will take place tomorrow at the 1st Street & Monmouth Avenue fire house from 10AM-2PM.
On Sunday October 9th, the entire department will be coming out for a fire prevention and awareness event to take place at the Monmouth Avenue fire house. The event will be from 10AM-2PM.
They’re probably burnt out.
They were very professional and kid friendly in their Westgate demonstration, on Monday. Everyone should take their kids to see this!!
