LFD Hold Fire Prevention Safety Event Attended By Mayor & Committeeman Lichtenstien

PHOTOS: The Lakewood Fire Department held a Fire Prevention Safety event for children today, giving the children an opportunity to learn about fires and get a close look at the various trucks and equipment. The event, which included all fire companies in Lakewood, was attended by Mayor Menashe Miller as well as by Committeeman and Liaison Meir Lichtenstien.

The event ended at 2:00 PM.

  1. I love the volunteers of LFD and want to thank them for their selfless service. Question though, why are they wearing jeans with their uniform shirts?

  2. The Chief advised us to use our Uniform Shirts instead of everyone’s individual company t-shirts for more uniformity, the jeans are a less formal way of working rather than putting on the entire summer uniform in 80 deg weather. It worked, all the guys had a great time talking and meeting with the residents and the children.
