Lakewood Fire Department Chief Steve McNamara is advising residents to expect the smell of smoke until Thursday morning due to the brush fire smoldering.
The brush fire in the Oak Street area this morning burned about six acres, but still smoldering, prompting residents to phone it in.
McNamara says they are monitoring the situation and residents should not call police unless they actually see flames.
